As of May 1, 2020, Genohm is now officially Agilent Technologies. This acquisition enhances Agilent’s current software portfolio, adding laboratory information management system (LIMS) and workflow management, while expanding electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) capability. This combination will allow Agilent to bring greater context to analytical data, enabling scientists to generate results more efficiently.

We are committed to maintaining the same high levels of customer service that you have come to expect, and our aim is to minimize disruption to customers, partners, and employees. After the integration is complete, you will continue to work with the same dedicated Genohm teams from sales, services, and support who have served you in the past.

For current Genohm customers, you should see only minor differences in working with Agilent. The main change is in the billing and order process – starting May 1, 2020, all orders should be placed with Agilent Technologies, not with Genohm. Please update your vendor records using the information provided in the information sent to all customers with current contracts in late March/early April.

Q: How do I request a demo of SLIMS?

Contact your local sales/account representative or view the SLIMS product information at Agilent.com and directly request a demo.


Q: I have a current quote – is it still valid?

Yes, all current quotes will be honored through their expiration dates.


Q: How do I request a quote to purchase SLIMS?

Contact your local sales/account representative or view the SLIMS product information at Agilent.com and directly request a quote.


Q: Will order payments still be made to Genohm?

If you have an open invoice from Genohm, you should still make the payment to Genohm per the instructions on that invoice, even after May 1.

As of May 1, 2020, all new orders will be fulfilled by Agilent, and invoices will be sent from Agilent with remittance instructions on the invoice.


Q: I already have Agilent set up as my vendor. Do I need to change anything?

No.


Q: Is my existing contract with Genohm still valid?

Yes. All open contracts were migrated from Genohm to Agilent on May 1, under the same the pricing, terms and conditions specified on the original contract. In late March/early April letters were emailed to any Genohm customer with an ongoing contract, explaining this process. The communication also included instructions for setting up Agilent as a vendor. Please reach out to your Genohm sales rep if you have any questions or concerns.

Q: How I contact technical support?

On 7-April 2020 a new infrastructure launched to host support for SLIMS. As we relocate this support host, we hope you will see a better experience and improved availability of the system. The new url for the website will be: https://servicedesk.li.agilent.com/genohm. This is also accessible from the SLIMS product page on Agilent.com.

For a one-month period, users will be automatically redirected to the new website, but we recommend you update your bookmarks and documentations as soon as possible. Your current credentials will remain identical and no change is expected in the support experience.


Q: Are Genohm emails changing?

Yes, Genohm email addresses will change to Agilent email addresses at the end of April. Email addresses will be firstname.lastname@agilent.com. You may continue to use the Genohm email address, which will forward to the new Agilent email for one year, but once you have the new format we recommend you update your records. Genohm phone numbers will remain the same as they are today.


Q: How do I schedule training?

Contact your sales representative or product specialist, who can advise you on current training available.


Q: Will I continue to receive Genohm emails/notifications?

Yes, if you are currently subscribed, you will continue to receive all emails/notifications.
